Description
This is a closeup photograph of one of the locomotives used at our local steel mill. The mill has closed now and the engine is now on display at the Dillon Home. John P Dillon was the owner of the steel mill and back in it's day emplyed more then 2,000. I hope you have enjoyed this photograph. You can see more of my work on my homepage. Nice capture and coloring Bruce. I enjoyed viewing this old RR relic. I'm sure it was a real workhorse in its day! Nice supportive description, as well. L&F

Thank you for the nice comment, Doug. There were two or three of these engines hauling steel during the times when the steel mill was a major factor in our community and state. Thank you for the L. I appreciate it.

Thank you, Patricia. My guess is that each locomotive had a number so that they could communicate with each other.
