This photograph of a tropical water lily in black was taken in a small pond at the Chicago Botanical Gardens in Glencoe, Illinois this past summer. It is a tropical Daylily bloom. When taking this work, I was try to capture the detail of the lily and the beautiful reflections of the lily in the still water.
