I recently visited the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe, Illinois and came a cross this Albert Greenberg Water Lily in full bloom. I was intrigued by it rose color, orange center, and the wonderful reflection in the pond.
The Albert Greenberg Day Blooming Lily can thrive with full or partial sun, thanks in large part to its strongly mottled foliage. Its bloom is an aesthetically pleasing rosy-yellow finish, and the lily is quite reliable and is free flowering. It can thrive in many environments since blooms will continue through early frost. It has a delightful smell, and is an ideal option if for a first-time pond owner.
