Hi Bruce, love this shot of the EL tracks. Used to see this view from my office window. Made me smile. Very interesting capture. Best regards, Sharon

Bruce Bley replied:

I am glad you enjoyed this work and hope it brought back some happy memories for you. I was on a roof top watching a Cubs game when I turned around and saw the patterns of the track and thought they were very interesting and loved how the light played on them and the surrounding area. Thank you for the visit.

Wonderful photo from my hometown city of Chicago, Bruce Bley! I have ridden The Loop several times in my life--but I have to disagree with Wikipedia's abbreviation for the elevated trains of Chicago. We called it the "EL" and pronounced it as "EL" for elevated vice "L" as in the description from Wikipedia. L/F/F, ~Jeff at JSJ Photography

Bruce Bley replied:

Thank you for the kind comment and the information on the "EL". I sincerely appreciate it.

About Bruce Bley

Bruce Bley

Hello my name is Bruce Bley. I am a retired art instructor. I taught in a public high school for 35 years. I enjoyed teaching students and helping them develop their own style of work. Now during my retirement I am pursuing my own passion for creating artwork. I enjoy working from nature. As an artist I want to capture the beauty of what nature has to offer. Too often in our society people don't take the time to stop and see what nature has to offer. It can be as simple as the color of a flower, the veins of a petal, and the beauty of it's stamen and pistils. I have created works of fish, flowers, animals, and nature in general to give a person the opportunity to see nature close-up. I am an avid photographer and many of my...
