Description
This photograph of a locomotive was taken this past year when visiting the Dillon Home in Sterling, Illinois. This locomotive was used to haul scrap metal to our local steel mill for melting down. The products that the mill made included, nails, barbwire, hardware, steel beams, etc. Since that time the steel mill has closed, So now one of the trains is on permanet display at the Dillon Home. I hope you have enjoyed this photograph and will share it with others. You can see more of my work on my homepage. Your comments on my work are greatly appreciated. Thank you for visiting.

Bruce Bley replied:
Thank you for the nice comment and V. Trains were a very important part of my hometown history with our local steel mill (which has closed now) was one of the leaders in the country for making steel.
