Description
This photograph was taken last year in the spring. The peonies in my backyard were in full bloom. We had an extraordinary warm winter and am not sure if it didn't affected the colors of the peonies. They were much larger and much more brillant in color then in the past. I love taking macro shots of flowers showing as much detail as I can get in a photograph. I want the person viewing the work to see what they might not ordinarily see. I think it is important to take the time to look at things closely and really enjoy what nature has to offer. I hope you have enjoyed this photograph and will share it with others. You can see more of my work on my homepage. Thank you for visiting and please come back as I add more photographs and drawings to the homepage.

Bruce, Nice macro work on the Peony! It's nice that the cameras now, allow us to see things in nature...(flowers) that we would not be able to see years ago! Is that a fly inside the flower? Looks like this flower is eating it, like a Venus Flytrap or something! Fav'd and voted!

Kym, I think that is why I like taking macro photographs. You never know what you might capture. I didn't notice the fly until you pointed it out. Thank you and thank you for the vote. I really appreciate it.
