This photograph of a grouping of a Peace Roses was taken from one of my flower beds. After my fathers death in 1979 from cancer I planted a Peace Rose bush in his honor because it was one of his favorite flowers. Through a few moves the bush still blooms as a reminder of my father and the good times we had.

They form a group of plants that can be erect shrubs, climbing or trailing with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles. Flowers vary in size and shape and are usually large and showy, in colours ranging from white through yellows and reds. Most species are native to Asia, with smaller numbers native to Europe, North America, and northwest Africa.
